Ugh. Been helping my dad work on putting a new roof on our local cinema lately. It's raining like hell today, so we've got to do something different once he gets back...|
In other news, I am still having trouble with my VOID registration. I did manage to make the win/lose picture and design sheet nicely (check me SA or DA for those), and that's all fine and dandy...
Now, the comic pages are a different story. See, the plan is that my intro works like this... entering the city, my character (good old rough n' tumble pencilswinger) is completely at awe at the size of the city and forgets to watch where he's going... and suddenly ends up on the middle of the road. Some guy can't manage to stop his car, and is about to run over our hero. Thus, the character rams his fist so violently into the car that it stops right where it is.
That's all neat and badass, and I managed to draw a neat first page despite the fact that car was freaking hard to draw. Now, I have one problem. See, the next page is supposed to start with the punch that breaks the car. Only problem is, that I want to show the punching figure first, then the wrecked car as to get far more impact. Only... that will be tough. Because I drew myself carrying the pencil with my right hand all the time, rather than the left. And since the right side is turned to the reader in order to do the "Lookit this guy first, then the car"- thing, that makes it hard. So I need to find a really well-working pose so you can actually SEE he punches with the left fist... which is freaking HARD to find.
The only two solutions I can think of is swapping the angle so we see the scenery from the LEFT side... but that'd remove the dramatic impact if we saw the wrecked car first. Or take it from the character's back. But then you can't see the punch, and you'd have no idea what happened... that, and I already used a front angle for the car twice.
In short, the intro was f*cked from the start...
